April?????? APRIL???????

Beeee-Jesus.

April was my last posting.

That's shocking.

I've been distracted trying to sort things out around my house and then there was a holiday and then there was this thing and that thing and.....................................

OK, so, BOYL 2014 is fast approaching and I've done b#gg€r all in preparation, the Dark Elf Army I was going to do morphed into a Dwarf Army and that project fell by the way side too.

That's bad. I need to finish off the Dwarves to an acceptable number. That won't happen before BOYL though.

I will of course be bringing Snickit along with all of his cronies.

Let's be honest these guys are my main fighting army anyway so I need to make my list of targets to be completed before BOYL 2014.

  1. Make my Skaven's earthworks (hole in the ground) for the big siege game.
  2. Finish Neek, my Army Standard Bearer. I need to disguise the join of the banner pole and paint an Army Standard. Poor old Neek has been walking around with a bare pole for far too long (no sniggering at the back). He needs a flag to wave!
  3. Get some shield designs painted onto the flat basic look shields I painted and attached to my Skaven for BOYL 2013. It's only been a year...................................

  3. Will be nice to fight on the same side as you this time! Although that said, I think the alliance of evil and chaotic forces could get quite messy quite quickly...

    1. Defo Dude, I look forward to smashing the weak manthings alongside you.

That said, watch out for the blade being held by my tail behind my back, you can trust Skaven as allies only so far afterall.

    1. The author of this blog strongly requests readers to read his previous posting regarding the subject of introducing people to the gaming hobby. He in no way condones corrupting young boys as suggested by Warlord Paul...............................................

Defo still here. Just needed to get a few things sorted around the new pad and had to take a break as the other half played the "you don't spend enough time with me" card.................................................

    2. Ugh, that old chestnut. Introduce Talisman to your household, everyone's partner loves that. That way you can spend time with them doing something awesome.

    3. Yeah, maybe, however, I have a horrible feeling it wouldn't work.

She once asked me if I would like her to play "one of those games with you". Like an idiot I said "Really, you'd do that?" and her reply was along the lines of "BEEEEEP off, I didn't think you'd take me up on the offer".

My general rule of thumb is that significant other halfs and wargamming are probably best left seperate in the majority of cases.

  5. Glad to see you back my verminous ally. I too shall be burning the midnight oil this eve attempting to get my BSB finished. I doubt the results will be as inspiring as yours yet, I persevere. For Clan Scourge and the Underempire!

    1. You are too kind good Sir as I expect your results will outstrip my own meagre efforts, I just about get to a wargaming standard and that suffices for me.
