Imperial Dwarf Throng of Karak Barak

It was Dwarf Month over on the 4th Edition Warhammer Facebook Group up until a couple of days ago so I did some up to date photographs of my Imperial Dwarf Throng of Karak Barak led by King Gilli Ironarm.

The Army is mostly a mix of Citadel Perry Imperial Dwarfs and Bood War Mini and the two sit side by side brilliantly. I've got a few more models to get painted up and I'll be doing that in the next few months for the second Tale of 4th Gamers Painting Challenge.

  1. Woooooow. That is an awesome array of stunties. It’s really cool that Bood have suitable options too! Love the painting throughout, mate.

  2. Love the green and white paint scheme of fires really well on those dwarfs. I also love the old Grudge of Drong buildings in the background. They make for a very atmospheric picture.

  3. Such an accomplishment - collecting such an army: hard. Painting them with such a sense of character (and unity): amazing!

    1. Thank you. I know I'm not the best painter out there by a long shot but I can do consistent level over a high volume so get points for impact that way.

    2. I think as one goes deeper and deeper into this hobby, there's so little difference between "good" painters and "so-so" painters. At least speaking for myself, I don't care much about talent. Even bad paint jobs are wonderful to look at when they're done by a true hobbyist who is steeped in the lore.
Which is not to say that your paintjobs are merely so-so. They're not - they're excellent.

    3. You're very kind, they're a good table top standard but I'll take your kind words and use as fuel to keep going with the extra stuff I'm adding I'm my current painting challenge.

    1. The oldhammer stuff is so grounded, it looks plausible.
Troops who look like they would rather not be there, sensible armour.

That collection though, how many Gob Lobbers?

      wow.
      That is genuinely awesome.

    4. Yeah, I very much doubt they'll all get used in a single game but it's nice to have then in my collection.
